The Mounds of the Dead is definitely a great spot to set up camp, not only is there plenty of iron and stone, but you’ll also be able to get steel and hardened steel from the Cimmerians. The east to the capital is also a good place to find some iron spawn locations, but the best place is to the northwest, as you can see from the picture above. Just keep an eye out for the dangerous Wights. Not only will you find an abundance of iron nodes, but you’ll also be able to get hold of some shroom amantia, coal, and wood. One of the best places to find iron in Conan Exiles is to the northwest of the Mounds of the Dead in the resource-rich Dirgewood. Not as good as the Love Tap obviously, but it's kind of nice to not have to switch weapons to knock a dude out while fighting his buddies.Dirgewood Northwest of the Mounds of the Dead But the cool thing about that is if you put a blunt weapon fitting on it, you can use your heavy attacks to knock out baddies. The little balancing deal it has though is it only does 1 damage with heavy attacks. The strongest one handed sword in the game is dropped by a mini boss called The Brute (I believe) in unnamed city. Then just hide behind your shield and poke your problems until they are no longer a problem. Same deal with low resources needed, so you can make a shit ton of them. So what I generally do is have a black ice sword myself and one on my thrall and I just swap out mine for theirs once its durability gets low, which happens super fast because of the low durability.īut I feel like its worth the process since there are very few weapons that do more damage, especially when it comes to resources to make and maintain.
The Nemidian helm actually repairs equipped gear in your right hand when you take damage and that works on thralls too.
